A backyard BBQ is a great way to end summer in your new home. Grill up all your unused burger patties which you may have stocked up on at the beginning of summer and pair them with your favourite beer and sides like hearty potato salad or a spicy kimchi slaw.

If you’re planning to have company over to your new home this weekend, give this easy and delicious Summer Fruit Punch a try; perfect cocktail to end off summer. This light and fruity drink  is much healthier than other alcoholic beverages and can be made non-alcoholic by simply substituting sparkling cider for the wine. To make a pitcher you’ll need: 2 cups of cubed fruits such as plums, peaches or nectarines, 2 cups of apricot nectar or juice, 2 cups of sweet sparking wine and 1 cup of seltzer. Enjoy!

With sunflowers in full bloom this time of year, use them as your centre piece in a beautifully decorated outdoor table setting. This may likely be the last time you entertain outdoors this year in your new home so why not make it special and bring out the matching dishes, napkins and place mats.
