The first floor layout has great flow with the staircase and roomy foyer at the front of the house. I can envision this as a great place to greet company and accommodate crowds entering the home. That’s something we could have never had at our condo. Just off of the foyer you will find the formal living and dining rooms, both with their own windows offering natural light in addition to the opulence of optional coffered ceilings. A glamorous dining room just wouldn’t be the same without them!
Like many of the Sharon Village models, the kitchen and family room are located at the back of the house, which in my view is the perfect place for them. Overlooking the backyard, these rooms offer privacy and views of greenery. The roomy kitchen features plenty of counter space with a centre island/breakfast bar area overlooking the 10×16 foot family room. A beautiful fireplace which can be viewed from the kitchen anchors this elegant family room that offers a large window along with optional detailed ceilings.
The upstairs features 4 nice-sized bedrooms along with an optional computer nook which is open to the first floor of the house. Greg currently uses a make-shift nook in our condo living room and always needs to grab an unsightly extension cord to charge his laptop while working since the battery life isn’t phenomenal. Having the nook will not only be a great spot for Greg to work, but also a great place to house all of the devices when not in use or needing charging.
Best of all the upstairs features a laundry room and luxurious master bedroom with plenty of windows, a well sized 4-piece ensuite bathroom and roomy walk-in-closet. As much as I don’t love taking advice from my mother-in-law, I have to admit she picked a good one for us!
Stay tuned for our next home assessment of Sharon Village!
